2022 UFAFL Futures Auction Review
Braelon Allen wasn’t even listed on 247Sports Top 200 prospects from the 2021 recruiting class but he stood on top of the mountain as the highest-selling prospect from this year’s Futures Auction, which featured 64 of the top 2021 and 2022 NCAA recruiting classes.
Allen’s bidding spot went for more than celebrated quarterback prospects Quinn Ewers of Texas and USC’s Caleb Williams.
Son of Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison, Marvin Harrison Junior, was the second-highest seller behind Allen, but ahead of Georgia TE Brock Bowers, Williams and Penn State RB Nick Williams in the top five. Branson Robinson RB Georgia (725), Xavier Worthy WR Texas (720), Ewers (700), RB Will Shipley of Clemson (680) and WR Emeka Egbuka of Ohio State (680) round out the top ten.
The 64 prospects went to 14 different scouts on Saturday – the last player to hear his name was Alabama WR JoJo Earle. Jakub Pryzbylowicz spent the most purchasing 16 spots.
This year’s Futures Auction generated a total of $15,760 USD, including $1,576.00 USD worth of SCO for the 2023 prize pool in the UFAFL.
